JOHNNY Briggs is one of the most instantly recognisable faces on television and although he left the cast of Coronation Street several years ago, his links with the Black Country have never been lost with Bugle readers as he still lives in Stourbridge.

Following the article "Remembering Phoenix Glass" which was published on February 13, 2014, Barry Nash of Dudley has been in touch and sent in two splendid photographs taken on a visit by Johnny to Phoenix Glass in Bilston during his early days appearing on the Coronation Street cobbles. Barry told us, "I hope Bugle readers like the two pictures I have recovered from the family archives of my mom, the late Beryl Nash (sister of the late Lord Bilston) who was in charge of dispatch at the factory when the TV actor came to visit."

Do you recognise other faces in the picture? If you have a tale to tell about Johnny's factory visit, email editor@blackcountrybugle, or contact 013845 567678.
