AT the Penn History Fair on Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7, which is not just about Penn - but is a History Fair held at Penn, there will be a room holding mini old film shows.
There will be all sorts of memorabilia to do with the film industry - including the Minors show. Also, it includes old film projectors - even a hand wound one. Usually there is a Laurel and Hardy film - or the Little Rascals - or even Flash Gordon and the Clay Men.
I am a local historian and genealogist, and I have attended or had a stall at the Penn History Fair every year. There will be maps, photos and information about almost every aspect/area of Wolverhampton and surrounding areas - as well as the mini cinema. It will be held at Penn United Reformed Church, 333 Penn Road, Wolverhampton, WV4 5QF, from 10am-8pm on Friday and 9am-4pm on Saturday. Entrance is free but donations welcome. Refreshments available.
