WITH reference to your Dudley Grammar school stories from the 1950s, I have just come across the following photograph of Class 2B in 1950 which would be of interest to Bugle readers. I can remember a few of the names, but mainly only surnames.

On the back row are Gibbons, Bloore and Aston. Row 3: One of the Kite twins, Alan Lloyd and Onions. Row 2: Dusty Binns, Abbot, Cartwright, Trevor Wade, Pinner and Moffat. I can't recall the master's name but he was the biology teacher.

I remember beating Dusty to win the 100 and 220-yard sprints but he later beat me.

I also remember Trevor Wade beating me into second place in a poetry contest. Regards.
