I WAS very interested in the story in The Bugle about Providence Church, Netherton, and the rebuilding of it in the Black Country Museum (April 10 edition).

A couple who where due to marry in the chapel, Darby End, used another place of worship owing to the moving of the chapel to the Black Country Museum.

They were, however, allowed to have their marriage blessed at the museum one Sunday morning.

The cars they used were a Rolls Royce and a Jaguar from Midland Wedding Services.

Mr William Wheatley, Snr, and sons William and younger brother Mr David Wheatley and myself owned the cars.

Mr David Wheatley incidentally operates Elite Weddings with his son Paul in Dudley.

John Perkins,

Wood Road, Lower Gornal.
