SOME cracking fishing has taken place at Seighford Lakes this weekend.

Fantastic to see so many anglers getting out for the first time this year, FINALLY spring is on its way!

On the few pleasant days we have been having, some early Buzzer hatches have been taking place. Fish have been rising over both lakes in all areas, anglers have been taking these fish on Shipmans, Hoppers and small nymphs fished high in the water.

Steve Jones (Falco Steve) showed everyone the way here on Friday, landing 27 fish over both lakes using a slow intermediate fished high and fast. The key flies were Black, Olive and White Leeches which are all now available in the lodge. Steve banked fish to 5lb.

Featured in the picture is Ian Mulholland who caught this superb looking fish out of the Swan Neck Pool on Saturday. Tipping the Scales at 9lb 8oz this was Ian's new personal best Rainbow Trout. Also his first fish landed on his brand new Scierra SRX.

There hasn't been a blank at Seighford Lakes for five days now. Lets just hope this nice weather keeps up.

See you all soon. Tight Lines.
