WHAT is wrong with this man Robin C. Oliver with his letter in The Bugle (July 24 edition) suggesting the paper is going over the top with its World War One stories?

There are nearly three generations of people in this country who have not been taught the British history of the 20th century. I have found the topic has inspired many people to research their family history over this period.

If you go into any public house, club or the workplace you find people are exchanging information on battles, families and regiments.

It is also bringing units of families internationally together to share information for future generations. Thank God for The Bugle, carry on the good work highlighting not just the battles and losses, but details of the home front throughout the next four years.

Dave Box,

Wednesfield, (Ex. Lower Gornal).
