THE next production by the TAB Operatic Company is about to start with auditions this weekend.

Producer and choreographer Audree Henwood has been in touch with the following details: "We are six months or so away from putting on a production of 'Summer Holiday' at Brierley Hill Civic Hall in March 2015 and this weekend, Sunday August 17, auditions will be held at Dudley Wood Methodist Church Hall, Quarry Road in Dudley Wood, Cradley Heath starting at 1pm and going on till 5pm, for principles, dancers and singers.

"We welcome all to come along and give it a go, no matter what your particular strength is. You might be a singer but want to give acting a try, or an actor who can sing but has never had the opportunity. The original film, released in 1963, starred a very young and up and coming rock & roll pop star named Cliff Richard, now Sir Cliff, so why not try and emulate his version of "We're all going on a summer holiday."

"Audition day has to be organised in an efficient way so it is important for those interested to contact Elaine Vine on 0121 550 7254 to arrange a suitable time between 1pm and 5pm to come along. We start rehearsals at the beginning of September, so there isn't a moment to lose."
